Woman Dies After “Routine” Surgical Abortion at Australian Abortion Clinic
Report Confirms Texas Abortion Ban Saved 8,000 Babies in 2022
|
According to Lila Rose, President and Founder of LIVE ACTION, approximately 32,000 boys and girls were protected from being killed by abortion, because of the fall of Roe v. Wade and the life-saving laws that went into effect in 2023.
The National Right to Life reported a few examples of the life-saving pro-life wins as follows:
Small wins like these lead to big results which can lead to total cultural transformation. This is why we do this work to spread the truth that changes people from pro-abortion to pro-life. Over 60 million children have been murdered since Roe was decided in 1973. Now that Roe is gone, the killing has slowed slightly, but it continues. We must ban all abortion and heal our society’s deep moral sickness. |

Great news: The American Medical Association (AMA) upheld their opposition to assisted suicide and euthanasia.
This was a huge win as AMA delegates voted down the attempt to change the code of ethics to support or become neutral on assisted suicide and they voted down the attempt to change terminology from assisted suicide to Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD).
The take home message is that medical professionals, young physicians and medical students must be involved in the AMA.
On October 10, the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition (EPC) were the first group to report that the AMA would be debating their policies on assisted suicide and euthanasia at the AMA House of Delegates interim meeting in Maryland (November 10 – 14, 2023).
50 draft resolutions were proposed with two of the draft resolutions dealing with assisted suicide and euthanasia.
LifeNews is on GETTR. Please follow us for the latest pro-life news
Resolution 4 would have also removed the AMA statement on not performing euthanasia or participating in assisted suicide. Both resolutions proposed to change the terminology from Physician-Assisted Suicide to Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD). The term Medical Aid in Dying includes assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Thank you to the many medical professionals who responded to the alert and worked to defeat Resolutions 4 and 5.

Investigation: Planned Parenthood “Steam-Cooked” Aborted Babies Before Dumping Them in Landfill

In looking at the debate over immigration, it is almost automatically assumed that the Church’s position is one of unconditional charity toward those who enter the nation, legally or illegally. However, is this the case? What does the Bible say about immigration? What do Church doctors and theologians say? Above all, what does the greatest of doctors, Saint Thomas Aquinas, say about immigration? Does his opinion offer some insights to the burning issues now shaking the nation and blurring the national borders? Immigration is a modern problem and so some might think that the medieval Saint Thomas would have no opinion about the problem. And yet, he does. One has only to look in his masterpiece, the Summa Theologica, in the second part of the first part, question 105, article 3 (I-II, Q. 105, Art. 3). There one finds his analysis based on biblical insights that can add to the national debate. They are entirely applicable to the present.
Saint Thomas: “Man’s relations with foreigners are twofold: peaceful, and hostile: and in directing both kinds of relation the Law contained suitable precepts.” Commentary: In making this affirmation, Saint Thomas affirms that not all immigrants are equal. Every nation has the right to decide which immigrants are beneficial, that is, “peaceful,” to the common good. As a matter of self-defense, the State can reject those criminal elements, traitors, enemies and others who it deems harmful or “hostile” to its citizens. The second thing he affirms is that the manner of dealing with immigration is determined by law in the cases of both beneficial and “hostile” immigration. The State has the right and duty to apply its law. Saint Thomas: “For the Jews were offered three opportunities of peaceful relations with foreigners. First, when foreigners passed through their land as travelers. Secondly, when they came to dwell in their land as newcomers. And in both these respects the Law made kind provision in its precepts: for it is written (Exodus 22:21): ’Thou shalt not molest a stranger [advenam]’; and again (Exodus 22:9): ’Thou shalt not molest a stranger [peregrino].’” Commentary: Here Saint Thomas acknowledges the fact that others will want to come to visit or even stay in the land for some time. Such foreigners deserved to be treated with charity, respect and courtesy, which is due to any human of good will. In these cases, the law can and should protect foreigners from being badly treated or molested. Saint Thomas: “Thirdly, when any foreigners wished to be admitted entirely to their fellowship and mode of worship. With regard to these a certain order was observed. For they were not at once admitted to citizenship: just as it was law with some nations that no one was deemed a citizen except after two or three generations, as the Philosopher says (Polit. iii, 1).” Commentary: Saint Thomas recognizes that there will be those who will want to stay and become citizens of the lands they visit. However, he sets as the first condition for acceptance a desire to integrate fully into what would today be considered the culture and life of the nation. A second condition is that the granting of citizenship would not be immediate. The integration process takes time. People need to adapt themselves to the nation. He quotes the philosopher Aristotle as saying this process was once deemed to take two or three generations. Saint Thomas himself does not give a time frame for this integration, but he does admit that it can take a long time. Saint Thomas: “The reason for this was that if foreigners were allowed to meddle with the affairs of a nation as soon as they settled down in its midst, many dangers might occur, since the foreigners not yet having the common good firmly at heart might attempt something hurtful to the people.” Commentary: The common sense of Saint Thomas is certainly not politically correct but it is logical. The theologian notes that living in a nation is a complex thing. It takes time to know the issues affecting the nation. Those familiar with the long history of their nation are in the best position to make the long-term decisions about its future. It is harmful and unjust to put the future of a place in the hands of those recently arrived, who, although through no fault of their own, have little idea of what is happening or has happened in the nation. Such a policy could lead to the destruction of the nation. As an illustration of this point, Saint Thomas later notes that the Jewish people did not treat all nations equally since those nations closer to them were more quickly integrated into the population than those who were not as close. Some hostile peoples were not to be admitted at all into full fellowship due to their enmity toward the Jewish people. Saint Thomas: “Nevertheless it was possible by dispensation for a man to be admitted to citizenship on account of some act of virtue: thus it is related (Judith 14:6) that Achior, the captain of the children of Ammon, ‘was joined to the people of Israel, with all the succession of his kindred.’” Commentary: That is to say, the rules were not rigid. There were exceptions that were granted based on the circumstances. However, such exceptions were not arbitrary but always had in mind the common good. The example of Achior describes the citizenship bestowed upon the captain and his children for the good services rendered to the nation.
These are some of the thoughts of Saint Thomas Aquinas on the matter of immigration based on biblical principles. It is clear that immigration must have two things in mind: the first is the nation’s unity; and the second is the common good.
Immigration should have as its goal integration, not disintegration or segregation. The immigrant should not only desire to assume the benefits but the responsibilities of joining into the full fellowship of the nation. By becoming a citizen, a person becomes part of a broad family over the long term and not a shareholder in a joint stock company seeking only short-term self-interest.
Secondly, Saint Thomas teaches that immigration must have in mind the common good; it cannot destroy or overwhelm a nation.
This explains why so many Americans experience uneasiness caused by massive and disproportional immigration. Such policy artificially introduces a situation that destroys common points of unity and overwhelms the ability of a society to absorb new elements organically into a unified culture. The common good is no longer considered.
A proportional immigration has always been a healthy development in a society since it injects new life and qualities into a social body. But when it loses that proportion and undermines the purpose of the State, it threatens the well-being of the nation.
When this happens, the nation would do well to follow the advice of Saint Thomas Aquinas and biblical principles. The nation must practice justice and charity towards all, including foreigners, but it must above all safeguard the common good and its unity, without which no country can long endure.

Action Alert: Close Senate Vote Expected on Defunding Planned ParenthoodThe U. S. Senate Leadership plans to move H. R. 3762 through a special process called “reconciliation”, which prohibits the bill from being blocked by a filibuster. This bill will still require a majority support in order to pass, but with just 51 votes instead of the usual 60-vote threshold.
Within the next few weeks, possibly as soon as later this month, the Senate is expected to vote on this fast-track bill H. R. 3762, that would stop taxpayer federal funding of Planned Parenthood – approximately $400 million in the next year. The U. S. House of Representatives recently passed this bill by a vote of 240-189; in the Senate, however, it is expected to be an extremely close vote.
Please see the below article that provides a thorough explanation of the importance of supporting this bill; an approach that provides a way for pro-lifers to strip 80% of Planned Parenthood’s federal dollars through various mandatory programs.
WASHINGTON UPDATE …TONY PERKINS November 18, 2015
Will the Senate Get Planned Parenthood-winked?
As if there weren’t enough drama surrounding the budget reconciliation bill, some conservative groups are intent on adding their own! Instead of accepting the fact that the Senate Parliamentarian has given the green light to the portion of the legislation defunding Planned Parenthood, some Republicans seem determined to change her mind. For weeks, FRC and pro-family groups have fought to hold Cecile Richards’s group accountable in a bill that has the best chance of crossing the president’s desk. It cleared the procedural hurdles days ago, when the parliamentarian said the Planned Parenthood section did meet the expedited budget rules — which are: a) that the provision is budgetary in nature; b) that the budget effect is not “merely incidental” to the policy but germane; and c) that it reduces spending in mandatory programs. Conservatives were ready to celebrate the development, only to bump up against other Republicans, who think the rest of the bill — which includes a major rollback of ObamaCare — has a better chance without it. Yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) put those rumors to rest by insisting that it was his intention to keep the Planned Parenthood language in the legislation. “We’re confident that the ObamaCare repeal bill … will contain a defund of Planned Parenthood,” McConnell told reporters. “We’ll be moving to that after Thanksgiving.” Senator John Thune (R-S.D.), who’d cast some doubts on that prospect earlier in the week, echoed the Majority Leader’s promise, saying, “We are going to proceed as the House passed the bill… Any suggestion that there’s some question about whether or not the Senate wants to follow through on the House bill is not right.” That’s good news, because it gives conservatives the best shot at sending a partial defund to the president. FRC’s position is clear on this matter. We are 100% committed to ending taxpayers’ forced partnership with Planned Parenthood. We’ll fight to remove taxpayers from the abortion business on every spending bill — but not at the expense of the current reconciliation opportunity. Unlike other approaches, this one gives pro-lifers a way to strip 80% of Planned Parenthood’s federal funding through mandatory programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and others — and does so with 51 votes. Could Congress put a similar provision on the omnibus spending package? Yes, and it should. But under regular order, it will take nine more votes (60) to pass it. Considering that there are only 54 Republicans (and not even all of them are pro-life), the odds of success in an omnibus are even slimmer. Does that mean we won’t try? Of course not. But the current strategy is the best one. And we applaud the GOP leadership for sticking with it, especially considering the snags along the way. Despite all of the confusion over technical points and procedural rules, pro-life senators should support this path to the president’s desk. Doing so forces Obama to bear the moral responsibility for sending our tax dollars to a group that legitimizes baby butchery. Even if the president vetoes the bill, we’ve still succeeded — because it sets a Senate precedent for moving a similar measure forward when America finally has a humane president. Now isn’t the time for bickering. Now is the time to rally together and support this effort — and what it means for the greater good. (Tony Perkin’s Washington Update is written with the aid of FRC senior writers)
TAKE ACTION NOW: Please flood the E-mail inboxes of your State Senators with pro-life messages to support this reconciliation bill for the sake of the Planned Parenthood’s provision – which means every single pro-life Senator’s vote is absolutely necessary– for the greater good of all Americans. |

A Prayer for our Veterans
Eternal and Loving God, we are so thankful for the men and women that You have raised up to serve our Country with honor, dignity and commitment in the past and present, in war time and times of peace, in combat or on the home front. We ask You to bless them and their families in the sacrifices they have made to give of themselves for the cause of freedom and further ask that you surround them and their families with Your love and protection as many continue to serve on the front lines today. In their times of loneliness and despair, we ask You to be their unseen hand that will lift them up to see a brighter day. We remember those who have lost their lives in service, and we applaud their selfless acts as well as their families that released them to serve.
As You have blessed this nation as the land of the free and the home of the brave, we extend this blessing to every branch of our military, and ask that your continued strength and power be with us in the days ahead. We thank You that their service has not been in vain, and we salute them with honor today and every day. Believing that You are willing and able to hear and answer, we ask in Jesus Name, Amen.
God Bless our beloved Veterans and God Bless America!
